Description: Shibari Sanctuary was a honorarium project for Burning Man 2017 in the United States by Hajime Kinoko and Benjamin Langholz. It is based on Shibari or Japanese rope bondage and used 17000 meteres of rope. Shibari Sanctuary hosted performances out in the dust featuring a traditional Japanese style show on bamboo, a Red web style suspension in the installation, self suspension, and improvisational styles.
